Landscape Maintenance Crew Member (Bergen County, NJ)

Qualified Full Time applicant wanted.

We are based in Hackensack, New Jersey and looking to hire a Crew Member for our maintenance crews.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 season experience on a maintenance crew. Residential experience is preferred.

2. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Equipment Skill requirements — Must be an excellent operator of:

– Zero turn mowers, preferably Walker Mowers

– Hand Mowers

– Trimmers

– Hand held or backpack blowers

Preferably Applicants will be knowledgeable in:

– Hedge trimming (prune and trim small trees and shrubs)

– Turf fertilization( not pesticide or herbicide application just granular fertilizing)

– Aerating, Power raking

– Spring and fall cleanups

Landscape Maintenance Crew Foreman (Bergen County, NJ)

Qualified Full Time applicant wanted.

We are based in Hackensack, New Jersey and looking to hire a Crew Foreman for our maintenance crews.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 2 season experience running a maintenance crew. Residential experience is preferred.
  2. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Foreman Requirements Include:

  1. To lead crew and instruct crew members about what daily jobs need to be performed.
  2. Need to be able to maintain an organized work plan for the job and communicate with other site personnel.
  3. Complete job site checklist
  4. Installation of required materials for landscaping/ site development
  5. Responsible for crews production rates, quality control and safety
  6. Confirming that all employees are operating safely at all times including reviewing potential traffic hazards; performing hard hat checks and safety gear checks; underground alert reviews; other trades hazard review and performing general public safety checks
  7. Reporting reckless or dangerous activities to job Supervisor; notify Safety Office of any accidents and submitting accident reports according to Company policy
  8. To inform maintenance supervisor about any issues while on property sites or information relayed from the client.
  9. To keep accurate time schedules for completed work and to ensure that crew route assignments are completed daily barring any unforeseen occurrence.
  10. To inspect all properties before leaving to guarantee no item or area is missed.
  11. To monitor all tools and equipment in use to verify all items are performing to their peak efficiency.
